The DJ education came in grade 12 (1995) during a summer school session, where DC was paired in class with DJ RockDaHouse. The friendship led to afterschool hangouts and DJ'ing lessons. The passion born under that tutelage led to a stint as part of the Roots Royalty DJ Crew, 3 years on air co-hosting the Legendary Wax Jungle Mix show (CKMS Radio Waterloo: Hosting, Djing, Interviews, News, and Music and Product Reviews), An Award for the radio work, A Stylus awards Nomination, and several Commendations from various Members of Parliament for the Donation of his DJ services to various City Causes. The ongoing career has led to numerous concert appearances ( JRDN, Choclair x2, Opening for the Legendary Jada Kiss of the Lox) and now has manifested in his participation as part of DLV (Indie Week Canada 2014 finalists) considered one of the top Indie bands in the country. With more than 5K collective social media follows, and remixes with impressions in the 10's of thousands, DJ DC remains Canada's Best Kept Secret Weapon (drawing the attention of recording artists from around the world including Mr. Worldwide Pitbull)
