Keeana Kee IS New York based singer and a model, Latvian born, she moved to the UK as a very young teenager where she began singing at local events then soon in the capital city, London, performing live with a band covering popular songs and growing her audience participation skills as well as developing a taste for her own style of music. A blend of Exotic/Tropical Pop style combined with Pop, Afropop and Latin influences. Bringing an international integrity to her art, that is refreshing and full of exotic taste. Inspired by her idols, including Mariah, Whitney and Beyonce, Keeana opened her first dream door in 2016 when she relocated to New York in the US, where she immersed herself into her very first recordings. Keeana Kee’s soulful vocal timbre is often compared to Sia, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. Musically she was schooled in piano and a guitar to assist her journey into writing her own songs. Keeana’s debut single "Coconut Rum and Coke" (a slice of tropical music magic) released in 2017, is a breezy reggae track that mimics the laid back vibe of its title, featuring Latin Grammy-winning producer Maffio. The accompanying video sees her as a member, passionate activist and a supporter of the LGBTQ community. Keeana Kee is not one to shy away from controversy, her music videos have touted her sexuality, while her most recent, the Afropop tribal percussion of “Sweet Heaven,” offers a veiled critique at this country’s increasingly harsh border policies. Keeana Kee’s music and her life is an indomitable spirit that empowers others to be true to themselves, even if it goes against others’ expectations. Keeana’s latest collaboration with LGBTQ celebrated artist, Ariana Castelli, brings us a new anthem, “Goddess”, that is a powerful composition for the world of 2022, regardless of ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation.
