As a kid of the 1970’s & 80’s the Rodeo Terrorists whiled away the hours playing with lego, scratching the family records, poking anything electronic and making weird sounds with a tape recorder. Hijacking the school BBC computer and Yamaha DX-7 the Rodeo Terrorists discovered the amazing power of the sequencer and bored their class mates to tears with its incessant noodling.
Taking inspiration from Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Giorgio Moroder and the KLF the Rodeo Terrorists armed themselves with a Casio VLTone, Boss Dr550 drum machine and a Guitar delay, DJ’ing house parties across Manchester, only for everyone to forget about it the morning after.
Spin forward the years and in 2006 the Rodeo Terrorists brought a six pack of Kronenbourg one Friday night and re-discovered the simple joy of playing, mixing and recording with an Apple Mac and GarageBand. Much to their surprise they found that other people all over the world quite liked their music too and they have received radio support from BBC6 Music.
Since then the Rodeo Terrorists love nothing more at the end of a hard week to unwind with a couple of lagers and noodle away on a synth and make music.
