After months of waiting for the allegedly upcoming Ludaverse album, it’s no wonder that Ludacris’ new single has been met with such long-awaited delight from fans everywhere. Featuring appearances from no less than three guest artists-in the form of a recently-resurging Wiz Khalifa, Cashmere Cat, the Norwegian representative of the World DJ Championships from 2006-09, and Jerimih, the artist behind debut hit Birthday Sex in 2008. Working with the Aqua’s uberhit Barbie Girl, the song could well be the next super-mellow single of the upcoming year. A slow-starting number that’s focused on laid-back vocals and slick production, Party Girls works because it’s a song that doesn’t rely on intense energy or bellowed rap. Rather, it’s an instantly memorable piece that doesn’t fall into the trap of letting all the cameos take over the actual artist at it’s heart.
