After premiering on Macklemore's "Same Love," Mary Lambert returns with "Secrets," now featuring B.o.B., a declaration that she doesn't give a shit who knows what about her. We should have expected nothing less from this outspoken woman who refuses to be what she's not, and if there ever were a shining example of self-pride in the face of no-matter-what, Mary Lambert is that light. "Secrets" lets everyone in on the fact that Mary is bi-polar, gay and a little bit on the "weird" side by society's standards, but she's cool with who she is and refuses to pretend to be anything else. Attention, all "outcasts," unique souls and people who don't conform to the norm, Mary's got the right idea. How about instead of trying to be perfect, we just do a hell of a job at being our awesome selves?
