HouseHead, James Borris is a native Washingtonian formally known as DJ James. He started playing Hip-Hop / R&B, and was not a fan House Music. It wasn't until he moved to New Jersey to attend college did he find himself with a roommate whom happened to be a DJ and specialized in House and Reggae. House was very popular in Jersey, and nearby New York. House music was on the radio, at the Black Student Union parties and in his dorm room. Slowly an acclamation to House, turned into a love. He began mixing house and learning from some of Jersey's best; his favorite being Tony Humphries. DJ HouseHead likes to spin House in a way that is unique and memorable. He prefers to spin Deep House, Vocal House, Soulful House, Afro House and other selections that fit into the program,. After leaving Upsala, James mostly played at small private parties, weddings, etc. He made his club debut at the Mirage nightclub formerly known as the Chapter III. He opened for "Funk Regulator Celo". James stepped away from the decks shortly after, taking on a new role "Dad".
