DJ Jpan (Jared Sato) is paving the way for a new generation of DJ. The barriers are being broken between producer and the open format DJ. Jpan, currently residing in Salt Lake City Utah, is one of the most sought after deejays in the state. While holding down residencies at The Huka Bar, The Moose Lounge and Alleged, he also is topping the charts weekly on internationally known record pools with his remixes and bootlegs. At a very early age DJ Jpan took an interest in music. Teaching himself piano and guitar at sixteen, Jpan knew he wanted to be a musician early. After graduating High School he set out to Los Angeles California to study audio engineering at The Los Angeles Recording School in Hollywood. While in L.A. he fell in love with the electronic dance music scene. He put down his guitar and picked up all the samples he could find. After graduating from LARS, Jpan moved back home to pursue a career in Deejaying. In 2011 Jpan entered a local DJ competition in hopes of winning a residency at a well known club in Salt Lake City. Blowing the judges away with his skills he went on to win the competition and start his first residency. With the help of some very talanted local deejays and hard work, Jpan excelled in the art of open format deejaying. In 2015 Jpan became an internationally known editor/remixer with support from DJ City,Direct Music Service and Digital Music Pool to name a few. 2016 looks to be Jpans biggest year yet. Look out for him in a city near you.
