Each member is a singer/producer/songwriter of varying musical tastes and influences, all coming together to create a new and exciting sound. The group was founded at Magic Gate Studios in Los Angeles, California under the tutelage of historic rap icon Too $hort.
Before they landed their first placement as a team, they were already making names for themselves in the industry. VT, a veteran in the hip hop industry, has produced numerous billboard topping songs. He provided production and vocals on the 2010 hit Bitch by E40 ft. Too $hort and 50 Cent. It earned a top ten spot on the Rap/R&B Billboard charts, and #89 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. His 2014 placements include Playa-Playa by E40 ft. VT, the intro to Too $hort’s 30th Anniversary Album alongside iconic producer Dr. Dre, the soulful hit Don’t Shoot by Too $hort and Schoolboy Q, and Get Ya Money Up featuring Iamsu.
In the early 2000‘s, Stoomie gained a following among producers and artists in the budding alternative hip hop scene in San Francisco and Oakland. He released his first ambient electronica album Two For A Tenner - Yes Please on iTunes in 2006. It spawned the viral music video for the album’s lead single that featured adult film star Ron Jeremy, shot on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles. His second album of original music, OMALE, was released in 2014 as a collaboration with fellow musician Joseph Gonzalez. The album, a pastiche of acoustic, funk and electro pop music, earned him the attention of Too $hort and Magic Gate studios. He joined their ranks in 2015 as an engineer and producer on various projects.
