In between the prestige of being a judge for American Idol, Jennifer Lopez and her equally famous backside have been working on a number of new songs this year. Among them is the rather good Girls, originally produced by DJ Mustard, which was recently officially remixed by Tyga. With a lot more hip-hop on the menu than with her most recent releases (think more in the vein of J-Lo and This Is Me…Then), Girls (not affiliated with the hit Lena Dunham show) marks a return to form for the legendary songstress. And the star of Young Money has provided a little bit more life to the brisk poppy number, in the form of a brand new verse, all in his well-known sour-faced and hedonistic style. A bright, carefree and pumping number with a little added grit.
