Nicole Scherzinger's newest track is a far cry from the style of her previous "On the Rocks," but her message in "Run" remains directed at a relationship gone terribly wrong. Though her last single was relatively upbeat and empowering, "Run" touches on the pain that actually results from being involved in a situation that doesn't work out. "Run" is painfully slow, alluding to the hurt that this man has caused her, and like a good woman, she's warning all those who may follow in her path to continue quickly past this heartbreaker. Nicole's not hiding this message in metaphors or clever comparisons; this time she's blunt, "here's some advice for the next one, run." Unless of course you want to deal with yo-yoing affection that refuses to let you go peacefully. Your call, really, but Nicole has said her piece.
