Sun Philips is a DJ, producer, vocal performer and songwriter. Originally hailing from France but now based in London, Sun has been bringing his unique blend of Afrobeats and EDM music to audiences across the world for more than 15 years. He has played in hundreds of venues across the world including Ministry of Sound (London), Pacha (France), Club Med (Kemer, Turkey), TBF (Blanes, Spain), Glockenbachwerkstatt (Munich, Germany) and Espace Noir (St Imier, Switzerland). Sun has also performed for various exclusive events for brands including Adidas. He currently holds a DJ residency with Radisson Blu Edwardian and performs at various locations across central London.
Sun is an official DJ for Freegun, the #1 underwear brand in Europe since 2007. He is also the brand ambassador for Zoom ARQ (the all-in-one production and live performance instrument) , presenting the brand new controllers ARQ AR-96 and AR-48 in Shanghai at MusicChina2017, the second biggest music technology exhibition in the world.
In addition to his DJing work, Sun is also a successful producer. He has released two rap/reggae-danchall/electronic albums and has collaborated with various international artists including Pop Idol winner Amandine Bourgeois and DvJ/producer
Sun is also a member of popular French rock band 'Merci Tarzan' along with Victor Betti (Hector Nickel), Emily Zulu, Hermann Walch and Robert Piazza. Over the past few years, the band have performed their unique blend of punk/rock and urban music at more than 70 concerts across Europe.
In 2015, decided to devote more of his time to production and released the first of his now highly popular "Moombahton Pack by Sun Philips" series. Sun's remixes are now played by hundreds of DJs across the world.
In 2017, Sun released four singles, "B Butterfly", "Bunny Power", "Kick-Ass Bro" and "Africa, We Love You". The same year, Sun supported the charity, Changing Faces, by posting his own remix of Bruno Mars "The Way You Are" with an accompanying video to celebrate the UK's first Face Equality Day.
In 2018, it was announced that Sun Philips will be an official DJ on the tour celebrating the launch of brand new fashion brand, Narcos Medellin.
