For a song called, "No Twerk," the video for Apashe's newest features a healthy amount of exactly that. Of course, the real message behind "No Twerk" isn't don't twerk. It's "don't twerk if you don't have the necessary equipment." Society's fascination with big booties isn't a new development, but Apashe and his cohorts have stepped up to say what many of us spend a lot of time thinking: you need to actually have a "phat" ass before you get to work shaking one.
Likely a reaction to the overwhelming twerk phase American girls have gone through since Miley Cyrus took twerking to white-girl-level on stage with Robin Thicke, the video for "No Twerk" has a clear message, supplemented by a lack of distracting color and a dedication to showing viewers what they should really look like on the dance floor. Despite the fact that "No Twerk" has pieces seemingly created just for twerking, the song and video are also a testament to the idea that you can dance, if you wanna, but depending on your booty, you may need to leave that twerk behind.
