We owe CRUELS some attention, and he's not letting it fall by the wayside. With his newest track, "Give It Up," CRUELS makes it clear that he's more than just a musician. "Give It Up" boasts a catchy hook and beat that anyone can jam to, perfect for the change of seasons, but CRUELS has also achieved a pretty awesome feat with the video itself--it was filmed entirely on his iPhone.
In keeping with the quickly advancing age of technology, which he uses on a daily basis in his musical work, CRUELS opted out of a budgeted, traditionally shot video. Instead he chose to meld together various clips of his own friends, purposely filmed in symmetrical places with nothing more than his iPhone. The most impressive part? He edited and directed the video himself, and it gives "Give It Up" that little something to make it more than just another catchy song.
