DJ Szudi speaks the language of turntablism fluently. Real name Piotr Mergalski, DJ Szudi is the founder of Turntable Sound Records and judging by his Facebook page, he's also very into every other pillar of Hip-Hop besides DJing. There isn't much more information on him other than his work with local acts and appearances at local shows but we hope that that changes as his name trickles into more countries. Turntable Sound Records holds workshops for DJs in addition to putting its own music out.
The beauty of this video is that without the title of it, you wouldn't be able to guess which song DJ Szudi is juggling to create this drum beat. He's able to compose it with one turntable, then the other, and then with both. Things get even more complicated as he switches double time between each turntable using the cross fader. After a final body trick, he lets the record play so that you can hear the original sampled beat from "Hip Hop Hooray."
