Tiberius “DJ TRUZ” Walker was a child far more ambitious and cognizant of his surroundings than the norm. At age twelve, he professed ambitions to be a DJ, while peers marveled at his ability to mix songs together on a
2-tape deck boom box. As his friends sat excited by the endless possibilities of the future, DJ TRUZ sat perplexed by the harsh realities of (urban) ATL; the placed he called home. DJ TRUZ exited high school at age 17 with honors, and he joined the US NAVY. Unconvinced the US NAVY would support his ambitions to be a DJ, in 1995 he hit the ground running in pursuit of achieving the only dream he’s ever known.
DJ TRUZ has nurtured and grown his organic style of play and graced audiences from ATL to LA with creative blends and pulverizing mixing. DJ TRUZ is raw and uncut, but both memorable and captivating nonetheless. He holds no punches and takes any crowd he faces by storm with a quick sense of understanding who he is playing for and how to keep them moving.
DJ TRUZ sees every opportunity in the (dj) booth as an opportunity to fascinate people with an infectious delivery that has universal appeal. DJ TRUZ continues to build fan bases from the United States to places as far as London because his education and mastery of the school of the hard knocks is simply incredible and like no other. This coupled with his unparalleled ambition will continue to turn DJ TRUZ's childhood dream into a reality and solidify him as a household name.
In 2006, DJ TRUZ caught the attention of LUDACRIS and he was quickly signed to DTP as SHAREEFA's TOUR DJ. That partnership quickly dissolved but not before DJ TRUZ became a resident DJ in ATL's hottest clubs. He established himself as a heavyweight in the ATL music scene. The self-described "Phenom" DJ'ed for other artists from the likes of KEKE WYATT to BIG KUNTRY KING of PSC.
In 2013, DJ TRUZ has soared beyond expectations and he will continue to do so in 2014 and beyond.
