About Dane, DeJuan Dangerfield, stage name Dane; originally from Chicago and relocated to Los Angeles in his teens, brings a sound that he likes to call “Contemporary R&B”. Influenced by some of the most talented musical minds from his childhood, including Michael Jackson and Usher; his ambition is to share his life experiences, struggles, and goals through his music. A mix of soul, blues, and trap, he aims to bring Artistry back to a modern genre that finds itself formulaic too often. Clearly inspired by a voice that resembles the classic R&B artists of the 90’s and 2000’s, but with present-day production influences, Dane desires to create a genre that will catch fire with a wide variety of audiences. With the ultimate goal of creating a live band in order to bring an authentic experience, he vows to share his heart and soul with those willing to listen. He lays it all out on the line, and hopes you will enjoy the music as much as he did making it.
