Rapper, singer, songwriter Lyric Richardson (formerly Lyric The Messenger) was born June, 5, 1984 as Brandon Emmanuel Richardson, in Inglewood, California. The name Lyric was not only given for his natural writing ability, it is an acronym for “Life Yearns and Resides Inside the City”, a testament to his humble beginnings, and the inner city where his story began. Lyric Richardson has a wide creative variety of sounds and feelings that release in the form of R&B. Lyric has released music under Universal and Island Def Jam, but is currently at his creative best as a proud indie artist. Major label releases include “I NEED A BBW”, “ADDICTED 2 YOU”, “MUSIC’S MY LIFE” and “FRESH LIKE ME” (The Clipper Anthem). Lyric also released a string of popular indie mixtapes that included titles such as “BEAUTIFUL (FT. ALICIA RENEE)”, “BREAKUP IN A SMALL TOWN (FT. SAM HUNT)”, and of course the controversial “PARALYZED (FT. NF)”.
