New Zealand Hip Hop artist Rei has just released the 2nd single from his debut studio album due for release December 2016. The music video for the first single has already won the award for Best Music Video at this years Maori Music Awards. In 'Out Dancing', Rei shows his introspective side; 'it's all about that little paranoid voice in your head when your partner goes out dancing without you'. The music video features a reflective performance from Rei, in order to highlight the female dancers. 'We wanted to portray this idea of mana wahine [a Maori concept for female strength and independence], so we chose dancers based on character and presence rather than their ability to twerk or show skin.'
