When it comes to events like these, the more you know, the better. You might end up meeting the promoter you've been praying for your whole life or you might discover the missing piece of equipment to complete your dream set up. Feel free to share any great stories you have from attending a conference in the comments section.

You can catch up on Parts 1 and 2 below.

DJ Expo

Where: Trump Taj Mahal, Atlantic City, New Jersey
When: August 15-18, 2016

First organized by DJ Times in 1990, the DJ Expo brings together DJs from around the country for 25 seminars, an exhibit hall for the newest gear, and three evenings of sponsored events. In the past, they've had Lil Jon, Paul Van Dyk, and Q-Bert as keynote speakers. They anticipate having 6,000 DJs attend so make sure you don't miss out on your opportunity to network. You can check out the recap of their 25th anniversary from last year HERE.

BPM

Where: Genting Arena NEC, Birmingham, UK
When: September 11-13, 2016

In its 10th year, BPM has divided into two conferences: one for DJs and the studio (9/11-12); the other for sound and lighting (9/11-13). They've become more flexible with booth setups for exhibitors while also creating more performance friendly spaces (the Forum Stage). The Pro Audio Demo Area will be dedicated solely to testing audio equipment and the FX Theatre will be the go to spot for all of the live show special effects (pyro, lighting, lasers, etc). The show floor will have hands on demos from Bose, Audio Technica, Allen & Heath, Hercules, Pioneer, Korg, and much more. The Chauvet Arena will host Q&A sessions with and performances from high profile DJs.
