On its own, Andre Obin's "Beautiful & Anxious" is an incredibly aptly named slow jam that invokes a feeling of appreciation for all that is beautiful and interesting, albeit possibly slightly dark, in our world. If you were to hear it in a movie, it would accompany a car headed down an expansive, winding road symbolic of life, perhaps with dark storm clouds in the distance.
But that's not quite how Andre's video portrays his newest release. Dark? Yes. Beautiful? Yes. But he's chosen to take the video for this enamoring beat and give it to interpretive dance instead, and that's a decision we can get behind. Featuring no colors and a simple cobblestone background, "Beautiful & Anxious" follows the movements of two main characters as they experience their own beings as well as each other through dance. Obin's track is genius, and the video is a perfect additive.
