Swedish band Ember Island show us their cover of Radiohead’s classic Creep, remixed up by NYC’s Dwayzz. The original is a wispy, breathy piano track, beloved of TV adverts. Dwayzz has worked his magic so it can play in the club. Dwayzz has added beats, synth chords and voices to give the track club sensibility. He’s wisely held back on the mega-drops and effects though. The ethereal voice is the star, and he’s given it the space to shine. The section where the beats don’t match the voice lends the track a disconcerting aura. Just as Radiohead would’ve wanted. Add it to your set and make your crowd go ‘aaaah’.
