Gato Preto are from Mozambique in Southern Africa, on a mission to bring African sound to dance floors across the globe. On Take A Stand, they team up with producers Crooked Bois and singer Iche, to bring you a track that makes you think as well as dance. It’s a combination of Moombahton, electronic, hip hop and soul music. The beat is rigid, urgent, marching. You can’t help but get in sync with it. Electronic sounds and traditional instruments add the accompaniment. The centerpiece is Iche’s beautiful voice. She moves between angry and loving, often in the same bar.
