New York is in the house with Ming and the Game Chasers new track, Hold Me Close. This is a dance floor filler of the highest order, positioned at the point where classic house meets EDM. The beat is an uptempo mix of drum machine and organic-sounding percussion. The backing a melange of ultra-modern synths and traditional disco strings. The lyrics are clear and uplifting, the chorus a total ear-worm. I like the long stretches where the drums fade and you’re left with some ambient synths and drip FX, then an long build up through the chorus, on to the explosion of the drop. I would certainly recommend you get this in your set ASAP, it’s a cracker.
