What's in a name? Well DJ Ease makes his job look easy so it could be everything. And that job includes touring the world year round, picking up titles at DJ tournaments, and squeezing in mixes for the people when he's not sleeping. He's had several club residencies, including Pool After Dark at Harrah's (Atlantic City) and Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel (Las Vegas). His trophy room might need an extension since he's a 10 time DJ champion ranked 3rd best in the USA two years in a row. If you don't catch him at the clubs, you'll often find him spinning his latest routine outdoors since he's all about bringing the music to the people.
With summer winding down, DJ Ease gives us one last taste of the warm vibes with a classy routine filled with Hip-Hop samples. He moves from the drums, to a vocal sample, to bassline with ease to create a live beat on the turntables. Ease shows that the quick fading between the two decks doesn't have to be as predictable as he demonstrates two rhythms with it. And just when you thought that he was done pulling tricks out of the bag, he uses his forearm to cross fade to segue into a body trick segment. Take note of the creativity he has when scratching with a simple drum pattern. This is what DJing is all about--stretching familiar songs into new favorites.
