key: 4A

What's in a name really? Everybody is just doing the same thing so why bother naming your song something awesome? A bunch of high pitched synth notes, a monster build up, little John yelling "Hey!' in the background. You think you've heard it all before don't you? Well so did we until we got wind of Ninth Floor's new club banger "Average". It features many of the elements that we're familiar with but flips them in a way that clearly sets it apart. The track starts off as you may expect, growing into a monster build up and just as you brace yourself to be disappointed by the typical raging robot war, the drop hits and- wait a second…This is different. The beat is bass driven and falls somewhere between Tech House and Booty Bass with funky glitch edits and clever drops throughout. Half-way through the track it breaks down and epic keys point us to the "jump up" portion of the evening which will serve to wind up those who may have been sitting on the fence. Off the back of the energy section we're happily laid back into the pocket of the afore-mentioned Tech Bass sound. The edits are different this time but the effect is the same, and if you find yourself behind the decks when this one hits the right crowd, we guarantee the effect will be far far above average.
