Don't look now but we may have a hit on our hands. The good folks at upstart label 'Boom Tsjak' have dropped off Tim Arisu's new EP and it's got us downright giddy. Our pick of the litter is Rowen Reecks' remix which contains a wonderful combination of elements that could really give it a leg up in this tremendously saturated market. The opening is a genius juxtaposition with witty vocals by Scarlett Quinn that manage to sound sweet as pie, while addressing some most 'colorful' adult subject matter. A beefy build brings us to the main beat which is hands down one of the best we've heard in a while. The combination of saxophone with funky emo-bass is a marriage made in heaven and brings back memories of the first time we heard 'We No Speak Americano' (until it became an utter global annoyance). In no way is this track a carbon copy, but the unbelievable play on the sax feels like it could take the world by storm in a similar fashion. Just when we thought the song had everything, he completely flips the second drop into a new beat that borrows from breakbeats and future trap. Yes, you heard that right! All in all this is one of the most well crafted tunes we've heard in a while and hope to see Rowen and the rest of the Boom squad ride this one to the top!
