DJ Hart, “The Hip Hop on a French Toast” that’s how this Paris (France) native DJ, Music producer and Radio Personality, likes to describe himself. Since J acquired his first turntables at the age of 16, his passion for Hip Hop never stopped growing. J started his professional career over 10 years ago as a tour DJ. During this time, he performed on the biggest French stages such as Les Francofolies La Rochelle or l'Elysee Montmartre.
After 2 years on the road, J Hart needed to explore another side of Hip-Hop. He created the "Big Bang Show” (B.B.S.), a radio show featuring Up & Coming and mainstream rappers. The show was first broadcasted on GOOM radio and became quickly one the most popular radio programs. In 2011, J moved to London and brought the B.B.S. to Break London radio. Thanks to both his DJ sets and interviews of big names such as Brother Ali, Evidence of Dilated Peoples or M.O.P, his show became, once again, the Hip Hop reference on the station, bringing something different and never heard before in the UK. In parallel and always looking to grow his brand, J began an international mixtape serie named after the radio show featuring over the years various famous artists such as M.O.P., French Montana, Smiff & Wessun, Freddie Gibbs, Jon Connor & more.
End of 2012, DJ J Hart crossed the Atlantic and moved to New York City. His dedication and unique talent allowed J to quickly establish his own brand amongst the New York scene. Since, J Hart opened and performed for notorious U.S. artists such as Joey Bada$$, AB-Soul, M.O.P., Smiff ’N'Wessun in some of the most famous NYC venues (The B.B. King, The SOB's, The Webster Hall) and large national medias (Shade 45 radio, Complex Media, Cypress Hill member’s own Breal TV).
Through his continuous search for new talent, J discovered in 2013, HD Been Dope, a young up and coming rapper from Brooklyn. J taught him his knowledge on live performance throughout many East Coast gigs including most recently the Van's Warped tour 2014 ([10,000] people audience). This new collaboration inspired him his last 2014 project: ‘The East Coast Draft Mixtape’. The main single 'Summer Time' feat. Rich Quick stayed No. 1 on DjBooth.net for 4 weeks in a row and reached the 14th position on Billboard.com for emerging artists.
J Hart now lives between London and NYC, still busy producing his Big Bang radio show. Coming up in 2015 : a European tour with HD Been Dope, and his next EP featuring Sean Price, Royce Da 5'9, HD Been Dope & more (due first semester of 2015).
