Canadian Czech-born House / Techno / Afrobeat / Drum and Bass Producer and DJ. Phyzxx (real name John Mares) began his career as a DJ in Toronto's prominent rave scene in the early 00's. His first taste of vinyl was back in a record shop in 1999 where he instantly fell in love with the feel and warm sound emanating through the turntable needles. His musical style started with Drum and Bass where he learned to scratch over the broken and fast beats. As his tastes expanded he found himself in the realms of Progressive and Techno with major influences like Deadmau5, Armin van Buuren, Richie Hawtin, Steve Lawler and Andy C, he has acquired a magical mixing style riddled with double drops, weaving basslines and quick cuts. Currently Phyzxx is working on honing in on his production style - since there isn't anything better than watching people dance to your own music. He loves to incorporate heavy BASS and wandering Drum rhythms into his productions. As the speakers get bigger and bigger, there will surely be a need to fill the void with a rumble unlike any other.
