With over 30 years of friendship and industry experience, Rapper, Producer, Actor and Entrepreneur “Flawless” and Rapper, Singer, Producer and Actress “Diamonique Noriega has joined forces as “FXD” to release their hit singles “Mary Jane”, “Can I Hit It”, and “Fiyah”. The singles are from their highly anticipated debut album entitled, “Colors” which will be released later this year.
Flawless x Diamonique aka FXD takes listeners on a musical journey with a descriptive story telling style that has been finely crafted throughout their 30+ years of professional experience. Within “Colors” the highly creative and fun duo touch base on a variety of topics and hit on emotional highs, lows, and everything in between to create a truly masterful body of work. Topics range from their cannabis life, to politics, to chilling with friends, to finding and losing love stacked with all the deep-felt emotions of each topic. Flawless x Diamonique do not simply deliver music, but they connect to the listener with a rare felt purity; rawness; and openness that undoubtedly makes one feel as if they were old friends reconnecting. The two unquestionably left their true selves, their true hearts, and 30+ years of perfecting their craft out in the open with no holds barred.
When asked why the name, “Colors”, for the album title Diamonique jumped right in. “People are multi-faceted. We experience many different emotions throughout the day, week, year. We constantly evolve.” “Yea, like with different emotions relate to different colors. We have a song on the album called, “Season’s Change”, it’s kind of like “Colors”, but as humans we also go through different chapters or seasons of life. Man, life is an emotional journey.” Flawless added. “And we’re taking our listeners on that journey with us”, Diamonique stated.
I absolutely love their approach to their listeners. “We don’t call them fans. They’re family”, Flawless says. “We’re just blessed to be able to express ourselves through music. We’re normal people experiencing life with everyone we meet”, Diamonique put in. FXD wants people to get to know them on a personal level. Supporting them is easy. It’s like supporting your best friend or your favorite family member. I already love these two!
I can only describe their sound as fun, vibey, friendly, deep, emotional… It’s mixed with old school and new sounds. They hint at their influences throughout the album, but Diamonique x Flawless have managed to stand out and carve their own sound and styles into an already huge talent pool. Storytelling is back at its finest with these two industry vets. If marketed correctly I can see them blowing up in a major way! Can I say Independent Album of the Year?
