Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers. No marketing copy. These are the questions DJs actually ask us.

The music

What is Digital DJ Pool?

A record pool built on independent music — 200,000+ tracks across house, electronic, hip-hop, R&B and 50+ genres. No major labels, no top-40 filler — just music from people who actually make it.

Are these original tracks, or remixes and edits of chart hits?

Original music from independent artists and labels. This is not an edits pool: we don't carry DJ edits, mashups, or clean versions of top-40 songs — and the chart hits themselves aren't here either. If that's what you need, a mainstream pool is the right tool. If you want tracks your crowd hasn't heard yet, that's exactly what this is.

What genres do you cover?

We're deepest in house and electronic — deep house, tech house, techno, afro house — with hip-hop, R&B, and 50+ genres in total, all from independent artists. Honest note: if your sets are mostly top-40 requests, Latin, or country, an open-format pool will serve you better — our comparison pages will point you to the right one.

How often is music updated?

75+ new tracks every day from indie artists and labels worldwide. Not a weekly batch drop — the catalog grows daily.

What is Dig?

The raw feed. Everything uploaded in the last 90 days. Browse, listen, download. The system quietly surfaces tracks that need ears — you just dig.

What is Selects?

The cream of the last 90 days, ranked by a quality signal we call WLB. A niche deep house track with a high conversion rate might rank above a track with 10x the plays. It rewards quality, not popularity. Filter by genre to zero in on your sound.

What is Charts?

Monthly popularity charts across the full 200,000+ catalog. What DJs worldwide were actually downloading that month. Browseable back to 2015 — it's a shared cultural archive.

What is Friday Drop?

25 personalized tracks delivered every Friday, picked from what DJs like you actually download. No repeats, ever. The fastest way to stay current without hours of digging. A long-term subscriber runs through 1,300 tracks a year. Included in your membership.

Downloads & DJ software

Are downloads really unlimited?

Yes. No daily caps, no per-track credits, no metering. Download what your sets need.

What quality are the files?

320kbps MP3s with complete ID3 tags: artist, title, genre, BPM, and key. Drop them straight into Rekordbox, Serato, or Traktor and everything shows up clean. MP3 is the only format — we don't serve WAV.

How long are tracks available?

Forever. Once you download a file, it's yours. Cancel your subscription and you still keep every track. No streaming, no expiring libraries.

Does it work with Serato, Rekordbox, Virtual DJ, and Traktor?

Yes — downloads are standard MP3 files, so they work in every DJ app. One thing to know: it's downloads, not streaming. There's no in-software streaming integration — you download files, they're yours, and you organize them however you like.

Joining

Is there a free trial?

No trial and no free tier. The plan is $9.99 month-to-month with no contract — so the first month effectively is the trial: dig for 30 days, and if it's not for you, cancel and keep everything you downloaded.

Do I need to be a professional DJ to join?

No. Members range from bedroom DJs and hobbyists to club residents and radio hosts. If you dig for music, you belong here.

Can I legally play these tracks at gigs?

Yes. Artists and labels upload their music to Digital DJ Pool specifically so DJs can download it and play it out. Playing at venues works like any other music you play there — public performance is covered by the venue's licensing. Radio and internet broadcast carry their own royalty rules, so check your station's licenses.

What payment types do you accept?

Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and PayPal.

Billing & cancellation

What plans are there? How do I upgrade?

One plan: All-Access at $9.99/mo. Everything included — the full catalog (Dig, Selects, Charts, Search), unlimited downloads, and the weekly Friday Drop. There are no tiers and nothing to upgrade to; the only choice is monthly or annual billing ($89.99/yr, about 25% off).

Does my subscription renew automatically?

Yes — monthly and annual plans both renew until you cancel, at the same price you signed up at. If you don't want to renew, cancel from your account settings any time before the renewal date.

Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?

Anytime. Switch from your account settings and it takes effect at your next renewal. Annual works out to about 25% less than paying monthly.

How do I cancel?

From your account settings. Canceling stops future billing, and every file you've downloaded stays yours — that never changes.

Can I get a refund?

Subscriptions aren't refundable — but you're never locked in. Cancel anytime to stop future billing, and keep every file you've downloaded. If something went wrong on our end, like a double charge, message support and we'll make it right.

Are there any hidden charges?

None. The price on the pricing page is the price you pay. No setup fees, no download surcharges, no surprise renewals at a higher rate.

Ready to dig?

200,000+ tracks. $9.99/month. Keep everything you download.
