Lil G grew up in the Hollywood Heights neighborhood of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Being raised in Fayetteville aka ‘Fayettenam’, he started working on his first raps at the age of eleven with the help of his older brother, Styles. Working on music and being raised with a military structure, wasn’t enough to keep him out of the streets. While hustling he would eventually put out his first mix-tape, Beast Mode and follow it up with Beast Mode 2. However, the streets would finally get to him, which forced him to move to Texas, where his biggest musical influence, UGK, was located.
