There are loads of sound systems in the world. However, there is only one Medina International, a sound that prides itself on their diversity, extensive knowledge and love of all music and ability to entertain varied audiences of any size. Dubbed “The Universal Sound,” Medina International is all-inclusive, boasting a music catalog that spans from all styles of Reggae and Dancehall to R&B, Soul, Hip Hop and beyond. Made up of a stellar team, which includes Milo Medina, Watu Brown, Troy Hood and Tito Medina, Medina International offers listeners, patrons and party goers the ultimate music experience. Although Medina International was formally started in 2000, it’s “wow” entertainment factor does not come as a surprise, as the sound’s team has amassed more than 100 years of collective experience. The talent and strengths of Medina International members, who hail from Camden, New Jersey, shine through their performances and respected business etiquette. While Medina International co-owners Milo (selector and MC) and Watu (selector and writer) hold down the performance front, behind the scenes are manager Tito Medina and photographer and music visionary Troy Hood (also a dope MC). In fact, a precursor to Medina International was the Hip Hop group Old School Survivors featuring Milo, Watu and Troy. Medina International consistently exhibits their talent and love of music in various platforms. Currently, the popular sound reaches thousands of world-wide listeners weekly through a Podcast entitled Reggae Pon Top Much to Medina International’s credit, the show is a favorite for fans on a weekly basis.
