Born , the son of two young teenagers, Moe J’s journey was just beginning. Raised in a single parent home, he has always been the light in his mothers life. As a young child Moe J found a talent in being mischievous and curious. A frequent troublemaker, no one could have predicted the success that would soon shine upon him. In his early teenage years Moe J turned his curiosity for trouble into a love for sports. The star shined as a Lancaster Tiger on the basketball court, football field and in track. An all around sports king, he will tell you that music was never what he thought he would end up doing. After graduating from DeSoto High School , Moe J left his home town to play football at Trinity Valley in Athens TX. After playing for a year at Trinity Valley, Moe J once again found his attention focused on the next big thing. He up and left his home state of Texas to venture onto a new journey in Oklahoma. Now attending college at Oklahoma’s Southeastern State University, Moe J was focused on football and basketball. Then Moe J welcomed the arrival of his new baby girl. She was the new motivation and focus for the young star. Moe J ended up graduating from SOSU with a BS in recreational sports. Destined to become a coach, Moe J’s curiosity for life began to once again change his path. However times were hard and he was beginning to see what struggles his life had to offer. Down on his luck, still grieving the recent deaths of his younger brother, grandfather, and his cousin; and missing his daughter that he wasn’t able to be with, Moe J decided to take some advice from his mother. He sat down with his thoughts, a pen, and a blank sheet of paper and began to write. What started out as nothing more than random thoughts to ease his pains of life, the pen began to transform the stars thoughts into some of the coldest and rawest raps ever written. If you really listen to the lyrics in Moe J’s songs, you can actually feel the realness of the demons he was fighting at some of the lowest parts of his life.
