Blessed by unparalleled experience engaged in the art-form, DJ and artist SN-1’s childhood from as young as nine was not guided by TV and gaming, but by an early devotion to the turntables and classic vinyl. So ensued a lifetime of dedication to DJing, and an ever-growing passion for music in all of its forms. From perfecting the craft in action to learning from the best – not least of all his older brother DJ Tosh, and renowned turntable extraordinaries like DJ Revolution, DJ Qbert, DJ Danny Cee and the late DJ AM – SN-1’s first gig arrived at just sixteen years of age. The big day saw him take to the stage for a memorable mix at The Graduate in Davis, California - an ideal start that quickly elevated him to greater plains. Barely a year later and the opportunity of a lifetime came in the form of Sacramento’s former 103.5 The Bomb – the city’s official Hip Hop Station. The newly crowned local DJ proved increasingly popular, rising up through the ranks in a matter of weeks and having his talents celebrated across Morning Drive, Afternoon Drive, and the Night Show. Achievements and accolades continued to snowball in the months and years following, rightfully earning SN-1 a respected reputation and the honor of DJing for some of music’s biggest names. From Common, Warren G and Too Short to DJ Quik, Bobby Valentino, Cold Flamez, Roscoe Umali, Kafani, Dru Down, Royalty, and Jessi Malay, the connections extended as SN-1 further perfected his craft on the decks. Currently boasting a residency at Lake Tahoe’s Bloom Bar & Lounge at Hard Rock Casino, SN-1’s near-encyclopedic knowledge of music permits him the unique ability to incorporate all manner of genres into his sets. Elements of hip hop, RnB, Neo Soul, Pop, EDM and House, to name just a few, all play a role in delivering unforgettable events in every setting. Respected by his peers, SN-1 has opened up the show for a plethora of celebrity DJs, with Pauly D, Cash Cash, Sky Blu, Morgan Page, DJs From Mars, QuestLove, and Richard “Humpty” Vission all contributing to an ever-evolving repertoire. In addition, SN-1 has put on a number of high profile parties for various members of the Sacramento Kings Basketball Team. Welcoming music fans on air with a daily set for the ‘Lift Off Mix’ on California’s Capital City, week nights at 5pm, and on EDM show ‘The Main Room’ every Sunday at Midnight – both streaming on Hot 103.5 – SN-1 promises an undeniable fusion of passion, talent and work ethic. On top of everything, Lake Tahoe’s Peek Nightclub in Harrahs welcomes SN-1 twice monthly for a live mix. And if his rota and musicality alone don’t grab you – recommendations from the likes of Paris Hilton and Rob Kardashian should; both of whom enlisted DJ Sn-1’s turntable skills for their own private events. Driven by the music but kept afloat by an unbreakable commitment to the cause, SN-1’s ambition continues to pave the way – the franchise and name are growing exponentially, and with music production now taking the reigns alongside the DJ sets and creative work, dreams of global travel as a World Class DJ are well on truly on the horizon.
