For Young Chow, DJing isn’t a hobby; it’s a lifestyle that he was born into. His father, King Chow, was a Soca DJ and started his son’s interest in music when he was just a toddler. When Young Chow was 9, he played at his first party in Miami at the Ramada Hotel; from that day forward, he knew he was going to be someone in the entertainment industry.
At Age 11 DJ Young Chow went to Africa with a steel band music instrument group that changed his life forever. From then on, he fell in love with the feeling of traveling and performing. Throughout the years, he has been putting together his own events and branding himself into one of the most popular icons in New York City. In 2009, he started representing for Funk Flex’s Pitbull Crew, and in 2010, he toured with reggae artist Gyptian.
Young Chow also has done his own major tours in Japan in 2012 and again in 2013. He’s traveled the world doing what he does best, and that's rocking a crowd. Young Chow’s goal as a DJ was always to be on HOT 97, and now you can check him out as he brings the same energy that he brings to the clubs straight to your radio. You can also check him out on B.E.T's “106 & Park” each month.
Listen to DJ Young Chow every third Saturday morning of the month from 2 a.m. - 4 a.m. only on HOT 97.
