Growing up in the 80's in a home always filled with music thanks to two audiophile parents, Fyahstartah got his 1st taste of electronic music via artists such as, Duran Duran, Soft Cell, New Order & Pet Shop Boys. His musical taste further expanded in his teenage years by the explosion of 90's house music with acts like Erick Morillo, Crystal Waters, Snap & CeCe Peniston played on the Jamaican airwaves. Fyahstartah translated his hobby into a passion by learning the art-form of DJ-ing using multiple platforms such as vinyl, CD's and time-code based DJ software. Hours spent on perfecting his style and creativity through multi-genre mixes propelled his career in the Jamaican party scene. With EDM becoming a global phenomenon and taking root in Jamaica, Fyahstartah's dedication and track record of championing EDM to the local market earned him the moniker "EDM Governor General".This commitment to the genre and lifestyle afforded him the opportunity to play alongside some of the biggest global names such as, Cedric Gervais, Congorock, Ape Drums, TyDi, ShoGun, Borgeous, Major Lazer and Martin Garrix. In 2016 Fyahstartah will expand his presence in the EDM genre with several performances and blaze new paths with several EDM tracks slated for release.
