Description
U4IA is an up and coming Trance producer and DJ from Toronto. His love for the Genre of Trance was spawned upon first listening to Above & Beyond’s “Alone Tonight,” and he hasn’t looked back since. U4IA loves all forms of dance music, sometimes delving into the realms of house and tech, but his main love is for the beautiful, melodic and uplifting sounds that only Trance can provide. As the name suggests, for this young producer, it’s all about attaining that magical feeling that can only be described as euphoria. “Ocean of Stars” is meant to be a melange of sorts, pulling together different styles and inspirations within the Trance genre. The track is quite dark and hard in parts, particularly the bass and the dark chord pulses that accent it, but also has lots of melodic content and uplifting and progressive Trance elements scattered through the high & mid-range. Inspiration was pulled from artists as different as Super8 & Tab, Suncatcher, 7 Skies, and even a little Armin Van Buuren. The title comes from a line by Michael Shannon’s General Zod in the film Man of Steel; “I’ve travelled across an ocean of stars to find you.” One can picture an “Ocean of Stars,” a collection of lights of various shapes, sizes and colour, shining through the dark abyss of space. Such a title seems rather apropos.
