Not since the spawning of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has the name of a group, show or band taken such foreign concepts and combined them in a way that makes no sense, but says exactly who they are. Well say hello to Canadian electronic trio Blood Tiger Sex Machine. BTSM for short, the group is much more than a catchy name. Despite international tours and a plentiful amount stage sharing with a who’s who of electronic all-stars (Diplo, Deadmau5, Skrillex, etc..), this group of masked avengers is only just putting out their debut album, aptly named: 'Welcome To Our Church.' We can safely say that it was well worth the wait as the release is a throwback to the days of yore, when artists created musical journeys with a beginning, middle and end. Although their name might not seem very logical, after hearing this album you'll have a clear definition of what Blood Tiger Sex Machine means. Check out our personal favorite ‘Survivor’, a ripping dubstep jam featuring perfectly pitched ragga vocals and bass lines shaped in staccato fashion making it nearly impossible not to pop a shoulder when they hit. This one is sure to kill at any Bass Music party. If it doesn’t, you need to find a new Bass Music party.
