Choose one standard crate
Select a crate without nested crates, the supported library, all folders that may contain its audio and a package destination.
Crate Backup & Restore focuses on one standard crate without nested crates, rather than a full-library migration. For backup, choose the supported Serato 4 library, every music folder that may contain the crate’s tracks and a destination for the package. The tool checks the selected crate’s references before creating a package with its audio and a snapshot of the source library information.
Restore adds the selected crate to an existing supported library and copies its included audio to a new folder. It does not replace the destination library, restore unrelated crates or create a complete new-computer setup. The workflow includes an undo option and shows recovery steps if an operation is interrupted.

This page previews one of nine focused tools planned for a single forthcoming Mac app. The tools are separate workflows inside that app, not browser utilities or nine separate downloads. A public download is not available, and no release date has been announced.
How it works
01
Select a crate without nested crates, the supported library, all folders that may contain its audio and a package destination.
02
Check the selected crate’s tracks and paths; every included audio file must be available and supported.
03
Choose a supported target, a new audio folder and a crate name; the restore adds records without replacing existing ones.
Supported files and libraries
Check the supported files and library requirements before choosing a tool.
Compatibility note
This is not a whole-library backup. Streaming or video assets, external metadata sidecars and unsupported dependencies are outside the package scope. Compatibility checks for restored crates in Serato are still underway; the package is not a playback guarantee or a complete migration plan.
Useful now
For a new computer or full-library move, use Serato’s own backup and migration guidance as the starting point. This previewed tool has a narrower job: one selected crate restored additively into a library that already exists.

No. It includes one selected standard crate without nested crates and its supported audio files. The package also contains a snapshot of the full source library information, but restore adds only the selected crate rather than restoring the rest of the library.
The restore flow expects an existing supported library. Create or select a compatible library first; the tool does not set up a new Serato environment or copy every part of a computer.
No. Restore adds a new top-level crate and new audio copies into an existing supported library. It stops on a naming conflict instead of replacing existing files or library records.
